The Top 5 RV Accessories For People Who Don’t Really Like Camping

There are two very different groups of campers: those who like to rough it and those that do not. The latter group whom I generally refer to as “luxury” campers.

Now, we’re not here to say that one way of camping is better than the other (to each their own!), but this article is definitely about the campers who prefer the finer, more luxurious side of life.

After contacting numerous experienced luxury campers via text, e-mail, and telephone, I can now discuss this topic with certainty. What follows are the top 5 rv accessories for people who don’t really like camping.

A Super Bed

After going on a long vacation, we often hear people say how much they missed sleeping in their own bed. Why does that have to be the case? Before setting out, make your caravan bed as comfy as possible. Invest in a few layers of Memory Foam, purchase a snuggly blanket, and pick up a few silky pillows with tassels.

Whatever it is, make that area as comfy as humanly possible.

A Portable Meat Smoker

A portable meat smoker is a must for campers who don’t like roughing it (even though they will probably make someone else do all the smoking work for them anyways). Luxury campers are not happy when deprived of deliciously cooked meals, so invest in multifunctional smoker offering additional BBQ, baking, roasting, frying, and boiling capabilities.

Whabam; dinner is served.

A Slushie Maker

Did I hear the words “frozen cocktail”, anybody?

Because really, who doesn’t love a nice, cold alcoholic beverage on a hot summer day? Portable drink makers come in a variety of corded and cordless models, enabling both caravan park stars and off-the-grid adventurers to bask in the taste of a freshly made margarita and salty rim.

Satellite Dish

To avoid getting bored on the road, a luxury camper requires a vast array of entertainment options. Watching campmates get their tan on is simply not going to cut it. While there are a large number of caravan antennas available, for the luxury camper, a satellite dish is generally recommended. Some newer models, like the Sphere Automated Satellite System, are 100% automatic and capable of superior signal reception and enhancement.

Side note: satellite dishes are also perfect for keeping children’s “are we there yets” under wraps.

RV Internet

If you’re going to skimp on the satellite dish, then you better not be skimping on the interwebs. With most of the world being entrenched in social media, how will our luxury camper share Instagram photos of margaritas and smoked meat without any goddamn internet?  Investing in a mobile WI-FI hotspot is the number one way calm a full-fledged, social media addicted, luxury camping affliction.  There’s been studies.

Side note: also works well with teenagers!

All jokes aside, the main reason we go caravan camping is to enjoy ourselves.

If some of us enjoy doing that a little bit differently, then so be it.  I always say, “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”.

And in this case, I’d definitely like a margarita.

Cheers!
