How slowly do I need to drive over the scales?
The manual doesn't advise an exact speed, however it does need to be done slowly. If you are going too quick for the scales to register, it will show an icon of a jaguar on the screen.

Can this be used to measure the weight of a dual axel caravan?
Yes! It will work with both single and dual axel. You will need to select Mode 1 for single and Mode 2 for dual axel.

Can this be used for a car with 17-inch tires? In other words, will this larger tire fit on the scales? I was actually wondering if the larger footprint of the car tire might be partially on the ramp causing some load shedding?
There is no tire height requirement for this scale. The larger footprint will be fine; you slowly drive over the scale, so there will be some tire on either side.

How do I weigh my caravan?
To weigh your caravan, you will need to do so on a level surface and weigh each wheel individually:
- Place the scale about 5 to 10cm in front of the wheel so that the load area sits directly in its path.
- Drive slowly over the load area to get a reading for that wheel.
- Press the Mode button to select the next wheel, and repeat the process until all wheels (and the jockey wheel/tow ball weight if weighing a trailer/caravan) have been measured individually.
- Once you have measured all the wheels, you can use the Sum button to view combined side weights or the total vehicle weight.

Is the 1500kg weight limit referring to the whole vehicle or just one wheel?
The max. load limit applies to a single wheel/scale placement, not the entire vehicle.

Can I use this on grass?
This weight scale should be used on a flat, hard, level surface. Using it on grass, gravel, dirt, or uneven ground can compromise the accuracy of the measurement as well as risk damaging or bending the ramp scale setup.

Can I drive straight over the scale display screen?
No, you must only drive over the load-bearing area as driving over the screen will crush and damage it.

Is this scale certified for official legal weight checks?
No. The scale offers estimated measurements with a margin of error under 2.5%. It is intended for safe home use to help balance loads and estimate total weight prior to travel. Official, legal weight certification requires a public weighbridge.

Is the scale waterproof?
It is splash resistant against light water spray or dust (IP44 rated). It should not be submerged in water or left out in wet/humid conditions for long periods.

Easy to use and accurate. Only concern was that I needed to press the tiny reset button before each use , but this could be operator error. Would have given it 5 stars except for this glitch.
