Can this fridge be used as a freezer?
Yes, on the NRX80, you can remove the freezer compartment and set the fridge to freezer mode. With this compartment removed in this mode, the entire fridge can cool to -6C.
For other appliances, such as refrigerators and air conditioners, to ensure the appliances to work efficiently and last longer it is recommended to clean the condenser.

What do I need to think about in regards of the ventilation with my Dometic compressor fridge?
Dometic Compressor fridges work best when there is air flowing across the compressor.
For small to medium sized Dometic fridges (NRX models 50 to 80), minimum of one Medium Sized Vent is required. This should be mounted in the van wall, parallel to the compressor at the top of the fridge.
For the NRX115 and 130 models, the Larger Sized Vents are recommended.
For the larger Dometic upright ranges (i.e. RUC, RCD ranges) which are around 150 Litres and above in capacity, two of the Larger Sized Vents are required; one at the bottom and one at the top.

What do I need to know about installing my 12v compressor fridge in my van?
Installation instructions will come with your 12V Compressor Fridge. The installation/manual document will also cover:
- Recommended ventilation
- Side and rear gap sizes for installing in your RV cavity
- Mounting
- Wiring
Depending on the model, there will also be information regarding; maintenance, cleaning, defrosting, energy saving tips, reversible doors, inserting new door panels and troubleshooting.

After doing a lot of research, I bought this fridge to replace a 40 yo+ 3-way upright fridge. Wow !! what a difference in technology ! With a really neat design, this fridge provides flexibility internally by permitting the easy removal of the freezer shelf/door. This increases the fridge capacity considerably if there's no need to store frozen food. The intelligent auto-sensor switching between 12V and 240V works instantly as soon as a 240V supply is connected. This removes the need to manually switch / disconnect different power supplies, making everyday use a breeze. The unit chills down quickly on both 12V and 240V and I'm currently running it on Eco mode, level 3 very successfully. Thank-you Caravan RV Camping for a great price on this unit, quick dispatch and accurate tracking.

Received my fridge delivery really quickly. It was left where I asked and was well wrapped. The fridge hasn’t been installed yet so I can’t comment on its performance just the whole ordering and delivery procedure.
