How far can I mount the digital wall controller from the main unit?
5m, using 2-core 18-gauge wiring.

Is there an automatic safety shut-off timer for long showers?
Yes. If the hot water runs longer than 20 minutes, the unit will shut off automatically and display an error code.

Can I put a mesh bug screen over the outside vent?
No. External bug screens restrict airflow, trigger Error E8/E9 codes, and void the warranty.

How does it handle extremely cold water input during winter?
Water this cold needs more time over the gas burner to heat up properly. To fix this, simply slow down the water flow rate, either by partially closing your hot tap or by turning down the manual Water Control Valve on the back of the unit.

Does this unit have built-in freeze protection for cold climates?
Yes. An automatic thermostat runs the burner between 3°C and 14°C to warm the unit (requires active 12V power and LPG).
