Eliminating the need for bulky, universal battery boxes, it maximises your tray space while delivering a factory-integrated solution. Anchored by a massive 200Ah B-TEC Ultra Lithium Battery, it centralises power generation to provide reliable, high-output energy for demanding off-grid loads like air compressors, portable refrigeration, and induction cooktops.

Q & A

  • Can I run solar through this?

    Yes, the DC2DC has an inbuilt MPPT Solar Regulator allowing you to run up to 800W at 45VOC.

  • With the unit being completely sealed, how would I access the fuses and breakers?

    Dometic have conveniently place them on the side of the unit, covered by a sealed flap.

  • I am wanting to run one solar panel on my roof and another portable panel, can I do this?

    The Journeyman has two anderson inputs dedicated to solar, one at the rear and one at the front. As long as you don't exceed 800W at 45VOC you will be able to run two separate panels.

  • What are the switches on the front of the unit for?

    These will be dedicated to your 12V loads. These will be wired through the back of the unit and are limited to 10A. So perfect for fridge, lights, water pump etc.

  • What does the IP67 rating mean?

    IP67 is a rating of Ingress Protection. IP67 meaning it is dust-tight and can be submerged in fresh water 1 meter deep for 30 mins.

  • Does this battery include a battery tray?

    Yes, it will include a suitable battery tray.

  • Can this battery be mounted on its side?

    Unfortunately not, the battery can only be mounted upright.

  • What is the best way to store this battery?

    Dometic recommend:

    Always ensure the battery is recharged fully every 6 months to maintain performance and avoid deep discharge.

    Regularly check the battery SOC, at least once per month, to ensure that it does not fully discharge while in storage.

    Always store the battery in a location free of severe vibrations, impact, or compression, and protected from the direct sunlight and rain.

    The battery should be stored in a dry, clean, dark, and well-ventilated environment.

    The recommended storage temperature range is between 15 to 35 degrees celsius.

    Always ensure that the area you intend to store your B-TEC Ultra battery is free of harmful gases. flammable and explosive materials, and corrosive chemicals.

  • Can I monitor the battery through Bluetooth?

    Yes, the battery has Bluetooth so you can monitor from the Enerdrive App.
