Q & A
-
Does the Robot Trolley require maintenance while in storage?
The Robot Trolley should be operated at least once every 2 months to keep the battery healthy.
-
How often do I need to charge the battery?
The battery should be charged fully after every use. If the Robot Trolley goes unused for more than two months, it is highly recommended to inspect and charge the battery fully in order to maintain maximum battery life and performance.
-
How long can I operate the Robot Trolley for?
The battery capacity will provide approximately 30 minutes of run time.
-
I have a dual axel van, Can the Robot move it?
The RT2500 and RT4500 can be used on dual axel caravans. As long as you are within the weight limitations.
-
My caravan is just on 2700kg loaded, can I use the RT2500 rated at 2500kg. Surely 20kg on extra ball weight wont make a difference
Good question, in this case bigger is always better. To be covered under warranty and to lengthen the life of your purchase it is advised to always have a higher rated trolley in use.
-
I only have a short drawbar of 50mm high, will the brackets supplied fit?
No, if your draw bar is under 100mm you will need to purchase the Kronings Robot Trolley Universal Closed Frame Bracket. These fit chassis from 50-150mm high.
-
Can I use the Hero Camper with my standard tow ball?
No, the Robot Trolley tow ball attachment is not currently available in Australia. The current bracket is attached to the draw bar of your caravan or boats chassis. This means it can be used to move anything on wheels within its weight capacity!
-
How long does the battery last on a single charge?
You should fully charge the battery after every use. If the trolley isn’t used for more than two months, it’s recommended to inspect and fully recharge the battery to maintain its life and performance.
-
Can this mover handle a dual-axle caravan?
Yes — the RT2500RS can be used on dual-axle vans as long as the total weight is within its specified towing capacity (up to 2,500 kg).
-
My caravan weighs slightly over the 2,500 kg rating — can I still use it?
It is not recommended to use a mover that’s rated lower than your caravan’s loaded weight, even if the difference seems small. A higher-rated unit helps protect your trolley and ensures warranty coverage.
-
Will the Robot Trolley attach to a standard tow ball?
No — there’s no tow ball attachment available in Australia. It mounts to your caravan’s drawbar/chassis bracket instead, so it’ll work with trailers within its capacity but won’t attach directly to a tow ball.
