The DC40-DRW-S Fridge/Freezer drawer gives you the convenience of a fridge or freezer in a drawer rather than having to install a fridge slide into your vehicle. You can easily add to your camping, four wheel drive or boating setup to keep your food and drinks fresh and accessible while undertaking the latest adventure. The DC40-DRW-S is compact and efficient, featuring a metal powder coated cabinet for durability, as well as a fully insulated base, roof and walls and will hold up to 48 cans.
The DC40-DRW-AU is assebled and commissioned in Australia, on the Sunshine Coast.

*This includes a heavy duty floor plate style bracket to secure the drawer fridge to a flat surface. The fridge locks into the bracket so you don't need to drill into the fridge / use any additional tie-downs!

The average power consumption of the DC40-DRW at 32ºC (measured over a 24 hour period) is as below:

After a lot of research, we recently purchased an Evakool 40ltr slide fridge freezer from Caravan RV Camping. The delivery of the unit was prompt and arrived in good condition. The 40ltr unit is a great size, if you have the room to accommodate it. We only just fitted the fridge Freezer into the outside storage compartment of our caravan to complement our outside kitchen, fits like a glove and looks great.

Will this fridge drain my car battery?
It all depends at which voltage level the fridge stops drawing power from your battery.
For example, the Dometic CD-30 will cut off at 10.4V. You can connect a draw fridge to your start battery, but you will need to be conscious of battery drain while the car is not running, and the start battery is not being charged. Therefore, we always recommend connecting a DC fridge of any type, to an auxiliary battery.
If you do intend to connect the draw fridge to your start battery, then it would be a good idea to invest in battery protection. Enerdrive have a range of Battery Guards in various Amp ratings. The battery guards can be programmed to disconnect the load (Fridge) at a pre-determined voltage.

When installing this fridge into our RV, how much space is required around the unit?
We would recommend a buffering around the perimeter of the fridge of at least 100mm when storing inside an enclosure. Many portable fridge manufacturers will recommend up to around 200mm of buffering gap specifically around the fridge's vents for optimal performance.

I’m wondering if this fridge, has a low voltage protection?
Hi, great question!
A compressor fridge as this draw fridge is, will not run if the battery voltage is too low. In this way, the fridge will not draw on the battery.

What DC connection does the the new Evakool DC40-DRW-S 40 Litre Drawer Fridge/Freezer come with?
The new 40L Draw fridge from Evakool comes fitted with an Anderson plug as standard. This is a secure 12V connection which allows for an easier installation. Cabling and fuse guides as per the product manual should still be adhered to when connecting to your battery system. The anderson plug does make for an easy connection to powering the fridge from a 240V source via a 240V mains power adapter
