How Non-Isolated Converters Work?
A non-isolated converter has a single circuit through which current can flow between the input and output. This is different from an isolated converter which works by isolating the input from the output by physically and electrically separating the circuit into two sections. This prevents the direct current flow between input and output.
While there are lots of benefits to isolation, using a non-isolated converter means you can save money, buy a more compact unit, and also increase performance. Non isolated converters are a great option when the change in voltage is small.
