I purchased this unit for 2 main reasons. Firstly I want to pack and seal my meals for travelling so I can freeze them and only take out what I need for the following day or two. This will give me greater options for longer off-grid trips. Freezer in the car and fridge in the campervan. Secondly, the ability to use it on 12 volts when required, gives me the flexibility to do this on the trip and not just in a 240 volt powered campsite. Again it gives me better off-grid functionality.
