Low Profile Ibis3 RV Roof Top Air Conditioner by Aircommand - Model No 8100001
The Aircommand Ibis MK3 roof top air conditioner is designed exclusively for the Australian Caravan and RV industry... and for good reason! Aircommand have made the MK3 reverse cyle whisper quiet, operating 8dB quieter than previous models whilst still providing a powerful unit to service Australias varying climate conditions.
Operated by remote control or by electronic touchpad controls, this unit will suit caravans up to 22 ft (6.5m).
Boasting the lowest profile roof top air conditioner on the market, the Ibis is less vulnerable to wind resistance, damage from overhanging tree branches and limitations like garage heights and shed clearances making this one of the most popular units available.
The Ibis will deliver adequate heat in low ambient temperatures due to its electronically monitored de-icing system which can allow the unit to operate in ambient temperatures 5 degrees below freezing!
- Reliable Performance and electronically monitored de-icing system.
- Low profile outside unit allowing greater height clearance for your garage and less towing drag.
- An ultra thin 4 way independently closing internal plenum is half the size of the previous model Ibis.
- Premium quality generator start technology included as standard - Perfect for the RV industry.
- Multifunction settings that allow climate control and dehumidifying.
- ''One Click" system with self adjusting connecting duct to suit your roof thickness
- Willl operate on most premium brand generators. Check out the New Briggs and Stratton 2200w Generator to suit the Aircommand Ibis

AirCommand Ibis Mk3 Air ConditionerBy: Don Perrin on 16 December 2018This unit was purchased to replace a similar one in a caravan which had given up the ghost. I found the unit comparatively easy to install and set up, and is now working very satisfactorily.

Easy fitBy: Richard Attwood on 19 January 2018My old Dometic B3000 collapsed during a storm in Ipswich. The IBIS 3 was easy to install with a little help from my wife. It works a lot better than the 10 year old Dometic
Improvement on the 2010 modelBy: Fran Smith on 1 November 2017Four directional venting is a huge improvement on the older model which was only two way. Cools faster & more quickly & quietly than the older model. It still gives a good clunk when the compressor comes on but not as badly. Much sleeker interior cover gives even more head room. Biggest negative is the filter which while being only one larger one instead of the two smaller is now just a plastic clip on/off which is difficult to remove & will deteriorate very quickly given how often they need to be removed & cleaned. A deliberate ploy on Dometics' part to have you replace them more frequently? Call me cynical but I wouldn't be surprised.
Q) Hi There, we have an older Aircommand Ibis which would be ten year's of age. We are wanting to replace it with the new Ibis MK3, will it fit into the existing hole in the roof?
A) Hi, Yes, the new Ibis MK3 will fit into the existing aperture as a direct replacement from the previous models. You can also purchase an adapter (Aircommand Euro Adapter) to enable you to suit a 400mm x 400mm roof aperture if required.
Q) I'm looking at doing a lot of off grid camping this year and are wanting to be able to run my Ibis MK3 of a generator, any ideas as to what brand and what size generator would be suitable for my needs? Many thanks in advance
A) Hello, The most suitable size and brand generator we have found to be compatible with the Ibis MK3 is the Briggs and Stratton 3000 watt inverter generator. If you have any further inquiries please don't hesitate in contacting one of our friendly staff on 1800 787 278 or www.caravanrvcamping.com
Q) Hi, I'm wanting to upgrade my Ibis air conditioner and have the first model produced we think. Is there much difference between the older Ibis in comparison to the new Ibis MK3?
A) Yes, the new Aircommand Ibis MK3 has had multiple up grades applied to the unit. The MK3's noise decibel rating has been reduced by 8 decibels, the ADB (air distribution box or internal plenum) has been redesigned with a 4-way directional louver system that can be closed individually enabling the operator to command the air flow to their desired location. Also, a significant rise in the cooling capacity at 3.1 Kw and an increase in air flow by a whopping 50% allocating a higher and more rapid temperature throughout your vehicle. All in all, the New Ibis MK3 has had more than a few upgrades implemented to the unit and has had an outstanding impact on the RV market leaving the consumer with a grin from ear to ear.
Q) Hello, we have a 5th wheeler and are looking to replace our air conditioner. We are wanting the most low-profile air conditioner we can get our hands on as we are restricted with our overall height, is the Ibis MK3 a low-profile unit? Many thanks in advance
A) Hello there, Yes, the Ibis MK3 is the second lowest profile unit on the market today with only a height of 222mm. Its designed with a low-profile sleek look to enable users to deal with height restrictions, aerodynamic flow and many other variables that come into play when installing a roof top mounted air conditioner.
